Animations
Cecil | Medieval Soul | SLRBA | Quatsch | Untitled | The Walk
Cecil Cecil
Completed: April 2002
Programs Used: Maya, Photoshop
Runtime: 1 min 22 sec

This was one of my very first animations as a student at the University of Utah. It was more of an experiment in refraction, blend shapes, and character animation. It's silly but I still like it.
Medieval Soul Medieval Soul
Completed: October 2004
Programs Used: Cinema4D, After Effects, Photoshop, DVD Studio Pro
Runtime: 3 min (combined menu animations)

For one of my class projects, we were asked to design and implement a DVD menu structure. In our team I was responsible for the design of the animated sequences for the various stops for each of the menu selections. Shown is a screen-shot of one of them.
SLRBA Salt Lake Radio Broadcasters Association
Completed: September 2004
Programs Used: Maya, Director, Flash
Runtime: 10 min

I have since developed a newer and better presentation for the Salt Lake Radio Broadcasters Association, but this older version was completed last year which implemented more of a 3D look. To the left is a screen-shot of that presentation.
Quatsch Quatsch
Completed: April 2003
Programs Used: iStopMotion
Runtime: 36 sec

This stop-motion animation was part of a larger class project at the University of Utah. The set and character were hand built by myself, and I did all the movement, timing and editing. Click here to see a test animation of Quatsch's Sock.
Untitled Untitled Compilation
Completed: December 2002
Programs Used: iStopMotion
Runtime: 3 min 1 sec

This student project is a compliation of a semester's worth of short stop-motion animations. We used a variety of forms of stop-motion animation including shadow puppets, object animation, clay, sand, traditional and scratched animation.
The Walk The Walk
Completed: March 2002
Programs Used: Final Cut Pro
Runtime: 4 min 55 sec

For a filmmaking class at the University of Utah, we were asked to write and direct a film without using sync-ed sound, so I created an allegorical tale called "The Walk". It's definetely a student film, but I like it. (Plus it stars several members of my family and friends!)
